Terms and Conditions for Local Home Services Ltd – Gutter Cleaning Subscription Service

1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Gutter Cleaning Subscription Service provided by Local Home Services Ltd. By subscribing to our service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the service.

 

2. Service Overview
The service includes one annual scheduled gutter clean and clear for your residential property.
Cleaning consists of:
✅ Clearing inside gutters using a gutter vacuum system.
✅ Cleaning the external surfaces of gutters and fascia boards.
Additional services (e.g., window cleaning) are available for an extra £20 per month.

 

3. Subscription Fee and Payment Terms
The service costs £20 per calendar month.
Payments are collected automatically via GoCardless Direct Debit on a monthly basis.
If payment fails, the DD will be represented within 14 days, the subscription may be paused or terminated until payment issues are resolved.

 

4. Scheduling of Services
The gutter cleaning will be scheduled at our discretion and typically performed once per year.
Customers will receive a notice period of at least 7 days before the scheduled clean.
Customers may request a preferred cleaning date, and we will do our best to accommodate (subject to availability).
If weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances prevent the clean, we will reschedule at no additional charge.

 

5. Cancellations and Refund Policy
You may cancel the subscription at any time by providing 30 days' written notice via email.
If you cancel after your annual clean has been completed, you will be required to pay the remaining balance of the annual fee (the equivalent of £240/year). We will send you an invoice with the payable amount.
If you cancel before your annual clean and have not yet received the service, there will be no refunds for prior monthly payments.
No refunds are provided for services not used during the active subscription period.

 

6. Pausing the Subscription
Subscribers can request to pause their subscription for up to 6 months.
During the paused period, no payments will be taken, and no services will be provided.
Service will resume automatically once the pause period ends unless otherwise requested.

 

7. Service Limitations
The subscription service covers standard residential gutters only.
Conservatory roofs and glass cleaning are not included.
We do not provide repairs for existing gutter damage.
If our team identifies damage during cleaning, we will notify you, but you are responsible for arranging repairs.

 

8. Liability and Warranty
We are not responsible for any water damage caused after gutter cleaning unless it results directly from negligence or damage caused by our team during service.
If we cause accidental damage during the service, we will repair the damage at no additional cost to you.
We are not responsible for pre-existing structural issues, hidden defects, or improperly installed gutter systems.

 

9. Photo Requests
Before-and-after photos are available upon request, but you must request them before the scheduled clean date.
Photos are provided digitally within 5 business days of the clean.

 

10. Transfer of Subscription
If you move within South Wales or Bristol, you can transfer your subscription to your new address.
You must notify us at least 14 days before the move and provide the new address details.

 

11. Cooling-Off Period
You have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date you sign up, as required by UK Consumer Contracts Regulations.
If you cancel within this period and no service has been provided, you will receive a full refund.

 

12. Termination of Service
We reserve the right to terminate your subscription if:
There are repeated failed payments.
You breach any terms of this agreement.
You act abusively towards staff members.

 

13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
